The economics of greenhouse gas emission in rice production in the Mekong River Delta (funded by ACIAR, 2023)
This project delves into the GHG emissions from rice production in Vietnam. The analysis undertaken in the project identifies where the GHG emissions per tonne of rice and and per dollar of profit earned are highest and lowest across the rice-growing regions of Vietnam, with a particular focus on the Mekong River Delta. The outcomes of the project provide quantitative insights into where farmers can produce more rice and earn more profit given the same quantity of GHG emissions.
