The economics of regionalization in Vietnam (funded by ACIAR and the Central Theory Council of Vietnam, 2020)

The economics of regionalization in Vietnam involves the strategic development of distinct regions to enhance economic growth, reduce disparities, and promote balanced development across the country. By focusing on the unique strengths and resources of each region, such as the agricultural prowess of the Mekong Delta or the industrial capacity of the northern provinces, Vietnam aims to boost productivity, attract investment, and create jobs. The analysis undertaken in this project provides insights into various scenarios of regionalization in Vietnam to explore regional comparative advantages and drive overall national economic development.
