Dr Trang Be

Trang holds a PhD in Economics from the Australian National University (ANU) and is currently a researcher at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW). With extensive experience working with Australian administrative and survey data, including DOMINO, Payment Summary, Census, HILDA, and hospital data, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her role.

Trang has rich working experience as a researcher at the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) in Vietnam. Her research areas include political connections, corruption, innovation, firm survival, and the knowledge-based economy of SMEs. Her research interests now encompass labour economics, health economics, and the broader study of economic factors affecting health and wellbeing, with a continued focus on Vietnam and Australia.
